My short visit to New York Fashion week was a whirlwind of sights, sounds, old friends, exciting new acquaintances and fun! Between all the running around, strict security and guests vying to have their photos taken, it's easy to forget what Fashion Week is all about: Celebrating the hard work and vision that goes into creating new ideas.
Almost as fun as watching the shows is dressing for fashion week. I put together this outfit with a strong graphic black-and-white feel. While I was out on the streets, I noticed that simple, contrasting graphic looks were a great balance to the abundance of color and print I was seeing. (But of course you can go whichever way works best for you!) It's hot out there and you're about to do a lot of walking, so remember to go with an outfit you won't overheat in. No matter how great you look, feeling miserable all day will put a damper on the whole experience. My look combines two-tone pants, the Lesa top in black, a vintage purse and Ash platforms.
Hanging out at the Standard Hotel before seeing a show.
Enjoyed the Beaufille presentation and loved this ruffled back.
