Erin Draper.  Fashion for Life. As Comfortable as Yoga Wear.

I’m Erin Draper. When I graduated from Parsons’ Fashion Design program in 2012, I looked around for a company that was making the kinds of clothes I wanted to wear: Clothing that is unique and truly fashionable, but also luxuriously soft and comfortable.

I saw brands inspired by athletic wear, but without statement-making style. Couldn’t women be comfortable without being dowdy or plain?

I saw clothing with a stylish flair that was tight or binding, or made from fabrics that are scratchy or stiff. Couldn’t women have great style and still move with comfortable ease?

I saw luxury fashion at high price points and fast fashion made in factories that underpay their workers and generate tons of fabric waste and pollution. Couldn’t fairly-priced fashion be manufactured locally in a way that is ethical and environmentally sound?

Looking around the fashion landscape, I saw a challenge and an opportunity: To design and make ethically produced, fair-priced clothing for women like me – strong, independent women who want fashion that stands out, but is as comfortable as yoga wear.

So, I searched out the softest fabrics I could find – jerseys and sweater knits, silks and tencels – and experimented with athletic-inspired seaming and drape to create garments that are striking, unique and very, very comfortable.

My clothes don’t pull or bind. They don’t chafe. They aren’t hard or itchy. You won’t feel like taking them off the minute you get home from work. These clothes are statement-making fashion, but as comfortable as pajamas. They transition well from work to dinner to a casual gathering of friends so you can move through your day in total comfort.

Unlike some other young companies, I don’t design “basics.” My clothes are never boring; they are signature pieces that are different from anything you’ll see anywhere else. They’re for strong, independent women who want something special, something unique.

And, I’m not fast fashion. I strive to create designs that are elegant and timeless, never trendy. My clothes are made by hand in Baltimore with the help of local seamstresses who are fairly compensated and share my high standards. I use quality fabrics, including many that are made or dyed in the US and sustainably produced.

So, if you share my passion for good design, ethical production, and total comfort 24/7, Erin Draper® clothing may be for you. Questions? Use the Contact form and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
